yes nicely said fergs i wonder if it wasnt free on the site if those who charge others would pay themselfs as too charging people thats horrid ive done 18 boxes for friends and wouldnt dream of making money out of something we get for nothing ,those who charge and we have there names on here should be banned .

Thnxs to Sunrise and all the usual suspects.
To all the doubters over the last few weeks, should have listened to Des, Scouser, Malci etc and waited patiently instaed of bombarding with questions.
im gonna try this on my two boxes now but i think one will work and one wont, reason why is because i did not follow my own advice and read the threads so a few months back flashed one of my clones with 4.00 so think that is probably dead. my other 257 should be good though.
will let you know how i go and may be back for advice later.

Just reflashed my 2 SV1 boxes with the new 257 software, did a rescan and found all the channel (278 i think) exited and saved, went to a channel and just got scrambled message.

thanks ferg but i tried that, now it just says updating over and over and over.
My other box is working perfect. as i said before i think this box got wrongly flashed with v4.00 genuine so if so it could be that. anything i could try before i throw it out the window ?

sorry to be a total gimp but does any one know where i can get gtrom4.00 from my pc has comitted suicide and having to do this of another pc and on this gtrom what is the sw model it keeps saying not correct

whoa stoke of luck ! reflashed and rescanned again hit key emu nothing.
thought my lot was up, went to s*y sport channel updated and then all the other channels came back. There is a god after all.
so got my two SV1s working and my Euro Max V and my original TW box.
luckily the people who lived in my house before me had TW fit a connection box in every room so they could move their box around, bonus !
Now a box in every room again, i watch footie, missus watches crap and the kids go watch kids tv, happy days.

some things not right i followed instructions for this gtrom but on box that says stb model its blank but on help section it says will come up automaticly. nothing any ideas please...
