Hi guys i need your help i'm a complete newbie!!
When installing the D2Pro with the wii-clip i snapped a wire. It occured when i was lifting the dvd drive out. The wire was connected to a green board and i have the D2C Chipset.

I dont know what wire it was exactly. Can anyone tell me what i should do? Have i ruined my wii? Does anyone know the effects this may cause? How can i fix it?

Any help will be appreciated!
Thanks for any help in advance!

PS I believe it is the wire connected to the green board on the far right

I believe that those small green boards are the wifi antennas. So depending on how they're wired if you broke one you wifi reception will be reduced or entirely eliminated. Either way though it shouldn't impair playing games.

As for fixing it, it depends on how it broke. If it snapped in the middle its very easy to fix. Just strip a cm or so of insulation from both wire parts and solder them together. If one of the ends came loose you'll have to find where it connected to and try to solder it back on there, which may or may not be easy.

Hi thanks for the reply.
I have got two green boards, one at each end. Are they both for wi-fi? I've only snapped the one as shown on the picture. Note the picture isn't correct as i have two green boards maybe mines a newer wii?

The above picture has 2 boards also. The one at the top right corner which is laying flat and in the bottom right corner it is standing vertically. You can barley see it but it is there.

You should really use solder to connect them first then the tape.

Yes they are WiFi Antenna's. You will need a wireless connection (router) to connect to the Internet via WiFi.

The reason there are 2 is probably because 1 is to send and 1 is to receive the data.
