you would think that a junior member would have the knowledge to read a massive thread on the first page about the topic he is concerned with. due to your lack of attempt to search within the first 5 pages of that thread, i will not answer your question.

well you must not be able to read then, when the title states itself ' NEW VIDEO of Liteon Running Backups' that would imply that the update that is coming out in a week will allow the lite-on to be flashed to play backups.

well you would still need to buy the hardware to read the key from the lite-on to swap it with a benq. or attempt to solder the drive so you could read it. so you would probably be better off just buying the hardware and flashing the drive as it would cost around the same price.

wouldnt it just be better to wait and see how this update turns out?

i have no clue, but i imagine, it would be pretty trick since theres a lot going on in there. so if you havent soldered anything before, i would advise you not to do it.

ok man. Time to stop asking questions. People here are all about helping other get the answers, but not if you put absolutely no effort into finding them yourself first.

After doing some research, post any resulting questions you might develop, and we would be glad to help. I have no problem, and I think I can speak for all members, helping someone else when they've obviously tried to look up the info, but still have questions. There is no problem with that. But if we were to make a thread about how to "make a backup" every time someone asks, or answer a question on a massive thread with over 200 posts on the first page, then AD would be filled with bs.

Yes this took longer than simply answering because I'm just trying to make a point.

Spend a little time, doing your research, and we would be more than happy to help. Until then... sorry.

need jtag help? Xbox 360 console repair? PM me or chat

Can somebody give me a hell yeah?

Seriously, this guy is going to try and retireve the key off a lite-on and spoof it to a benq when he won't even need to come dec.24th.
And he's going to ruin the drive.
But hey, we all had to learn one way or another to do research first. A good Arcade system will teach him just that.

Sit back and watch the festivities.
