Hello,
I have a PSP Slim, with the firmware 4.20, and i tought it was not possible yet to crack it, but the thing is.. i know a guy who also had one, and he cracked it, and now he can use games on his MC and they work.. The thing is, he wont tell me how he does it, and he asked for way too much money to do it..
I know its possible cox he has done it, but ive been searching ALL over the net for WEEKS and its driving me nuts, cox i cant find a way to do it myself.. i never needed help on these stuff, i always done this on my own, but now i really do.. and i tought someone out ther might help me..
If u know ANYTHING about how to crack PSP Slim with the firmware 4.20, please tell me ok? IM DESPERATELY NEEDING HELP!!!

it's possible the other guy had firmware lower than 4.00. and if he has a fat, then firmware is not a problem.
if your psp came with official 4.20 (sounds like a psp-3000 series), you can't do anything.

Hey. I had the same prob as the person quite above me- Kitana21. I just got this psp slim yesterday and it's a 4.20 ofw psp. It's probably a Psp-3000. I have read dozens of guides and forums already and by my knowledge, these psps cannot be modded. However, I was wondering if I could willingly brick the psp and then use "Despertar del Cementerio" on it. It's a crazy theory but I believe it will work. My question to you all is: Should I do this?
Of course, I've never heard of anyone force bricking his/her psp before. Please reply to my post and thank you all for your fine work and commitment.
Edit: Ohh and I also forgot to mention that I have another psp with 3.80m33-5. I already created the MM and PB with this psp. When I use it on the 4.20ofw psp that I own, the psp does not auto turn on.
The second advent is nigh....

if you brick it, it's gonna be worse, because there's noting to bring it back.
there is nothing for ta-088v3 or 3000 series psp's. all you can do is wait.

I see....so all I can do is await the new psp salvation. Thanks for your response. If something does come out, how will I know? What if I get tired of waiting and forget all about it? This is quite a pickle...

it really depends on what model psp it is if it is a psp 3000 then it is not possible yet but if it is like a 2000 or 1000 model its realy easy

Okay i have some bad news and maybe some good news.
BAD- you may have a psp-3000 or a new slim light that has the TA-088 mother boards which are unmoddable.
GOOD- you might just have updated your psp's firmware and if you did you still have a moddable psp.
There is a way to check if you have TA-088 motherboard by following this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/709168
once you follow that guide you will know if you have one or not and we can take it from there

btw the blue battery doesent work on 3000 apparently it only makes the screen go black but doesent alow you to boot from memory stick
