XBC Wont Read(Need Help)

Ive burned over 50 games, and then one day xbc just stopped working. The program comes up but when I go to hit the start button im not able to. It shows that the game is there it just wont let me hit the start button to dump the game. I went to try schrtrom, but it doesnt work either. Ive always used xbc but im stummped. I have the samsung162c, and like I said ive buned a bunch of games. Cant figure this one out. Help!

well i doubt you've burned over 50 games with that drive as it cannot burn them, lol. but try going to the drive settings tab (i think thats what its called) and hit the unlock button. that might solve your problem. if that doesnt work, you could always uninstall it and reinstall it.

what happens when you try to use schtrom? Also, if you could provide any screen shots, that would definitely help

Theres nothing wrong with the rom drive it works fine, computer recognizes it and everything. Its the xbc, when I go to drive tools, I can hit every button except steath check, unlock drive, and verify disk. When I go to read, I can hear the disk, but cant access any of the buttons, ie start current backup or complete partition. When I try schtrom as soon as I hit extract I get an error, and it says "No Valid Alt Pfi Found. Hopefully someone has come across this problem and can give some insight. Thanks for the fast responses guys.

could be the dvd drive, considering two programs both give you errors. try doing a system restore to before you started having this problem, if that doesnt work, make sure your cables are connected very well on the dvd drive and the motherboard.

I think I know what the problem is but im not sure what I need to fix it. A while ago I got a new computer and I havent been able to read game disks since then. So I think theres some application that I dont have on this cpu. Ive been reading old posts but cant seem to come up with the solution. Its been so long since I installed all the programs that I cant remember all the steps but I think im missing somthing.

just google .netframework and download it, if you have it you wont be able to install it, but usually you have to have that to use any app like that.

I tried to download net framework 1 or 2 cant remember, but like you said it wouldnt let me but then I downloaded netframework 3 but xbc still doesnt work(cant click the start button.

My sh162c is flashed with kreon v0.81, do you think that has anything to do with it? Would I need to reflash wit the latest firmware, or would that not make a difference?
