If i go to walmart right now and buy a psp how would i get that psp to play iso's and cso's???

first, is to know what firmware is on it; anything 3.95 or lower is what you want. high chances that they are either ta-088v3 equipped, or they are the new 3000 series. either one cannot use custom firmware.

no custom firmware, no games off memory stick.

Okay. What if i go into Gamestop and look at their refurbished psps?
Couldnt i check the firmware by looking at the system info?

refurbs/used psp's are the best bet. the only used slim i would take a chance on is the limited edition darth vader white. all fats can use custom firmware.

or if you want a new retail one, try small outfits like K-mart instead of Wal-mart, they might have some old fats in back.

if i make a magic memory stick can i change it back to a regular pro duo stick with a regular format or is it stuck as a mms?
