new flashing solution for Liteon drives - what do you guys know?

Hey guys,
I've been reading a thread on Blackcats and apparently there is a new way to flash Liteons. It says that you can buy 2 devices, one is called a 'Connectivity Kit 3 Pro' and a 'Xecuter Probe', both made by team xecuter. I also read there is a new version of Ixtreme coming out.

I am still a bit confused though. Basically, if I buy those things, will I be able to flash a Liteon? Or is drive swapping still the only way?
Are the CK3 and Probe essential for this objective? Is there definitely no software solution? With this solution would I not still need another drive such as a Hitachi to dump the firmware from that to the Liteon?

Any info greatly appreciated! :)
