Hi

I am using xbox backup creator 2.8 with a Kreon 1.00 drive. I put this on a computer with absolutly nothing on it but windows and xbc. When i open xbox backup creator, the start button is greyed out and unclickable. Any suggestions?

you dont have the correct drive selected, select the samsung drive from the drop down menu at the top.

Nope, i made sure it was the correct drive selected with the firmware on it. the TSSTcorp one and the box is still grey.

...xbc reads the game as a DVD-Rom and 7.05 GB the only problem is not being able to click start

Help, I am trying to extract xbox creator which I was sent from the guy I bought a EXTERNAL Samsung dvd rom SH-D162D SH-D162C Kreon v1, but I keep getting the following error message: -

Runtime Error 339

Component 'MSCOMCTL.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Can anyone help?

I had the same problem. Just google a download for that filename and save the file to your windows system32 directory

I installed Schtrom and when i select the drive and click extract, it says "Only backup extraction is supported on this drive" i click ok and it says backup failed

Schtrom lets me backup games that are already burned but not originals. . .
