I went to the idiot proof guide on how to burn games and that seemed simple enough, i just wanna know if i should use the dvdmullet program thing that detects some protection thing (sry about my description, i really don't know much of that program). Or should it be ok to burn games straight from the files i downloaded without running them through that mullet software?

when you install abgx... check the folders. if i remember right there was a setup guide in it that showed you step by step what to do.

a quick search on 'abgx360 guide' gave me this little guy

about half way down a member shows the settings you should use.

you won't get what i'm about to say but you will after you read that thread... after you use level 3 autofix... run the prog again on level 1 and you should get ALL GREEN.

ahhh shoot... i forgot. read me too that thread will tell you about the database change and the .ini file that you'll need to modify.

sorry if i confused you more but once you start reading and playing... it's a pretty straight forward and easy program. (besides the mf'n 404 errors i get sometimes. still a little iffy about how that works).

good luck!!

here we go... i copy and pasted PS2's comment from the first thread i linked to. the only thing left out is...
1.)select the file you want to check
2.)push launch (big button on the bottom) and watch the magic happen

somebody correct me if i missed something

If I don't put a pic of a particular tab, it means leave it on default settings.

one more question, i notice that it does create a .dvd file. Do i leave that alone during the burning process and burn the .iso or what, is it important for me also get that dvd file onto the disk, it's only 1kb so i don't think its the game so i'm not really sure on what it does.

ok, from what i've been reading, it says that you can burn either the .dvd file or the .iso file. I kind of doubt that that works because the .dvd file is just wayyyyy to small to hold anything. So i suspect that i was reading up on a different type of .dvd file. Anyways, ya, that is all i can find, can any1 clear up what that .dvd file is for?

you couldn't have looked that hard...

but the dvd file sets the target (name of the .iso to burn) and the layer break (157360 or something like that)

yes... abgx will create it for you.
yes... you pick the .dvd file to burn

(try opening the .dvd file in textpad and check it out.)

i might not have looked in the right place, anyways, ya i was reading about this layerbreak thing to, this i will admit i have done no research in but still, can any1 explain to me what a layerbreak is. I have read people talking about it on this forum many times but they were all talking like they knew what it was, so i couldn't follow. Can someone explain, sry for being so annoying afterdawn.

edit, i took the .dvd file into a notepad and i see the layerbreak. Does any1 know if i need to do anything with that or will burning the .dvd file take care of everything for me? Like i don't need to modify the burning process with that layer break do i. Sry, i can see this is kind of a stupid question but i can't really word what i'm thinking.
