Disconnect from the TV, & put the b0x on standby.
Then start the update.

Hi can anyone tell me which file to use for a genuine *view? Is it the Core257 or the Core400. I'm guessing its the 400 but i just want to make sure. Thanks.

Firmware has been changed again? So a box flashed with the 30/11/08 v8.02e fix is already no good?
And Eamos library still seems to show 8.02e (30/11/08) as the latest fix. Confused....what version do I need now? :/
Cheers.

You are presumably talking about Starview 2 The Box that has changed from the previous fix to 4.55 Loaded by GTRom 4.03. So what is your confusion, you tell us exactly what it is, because the previous fix is not still in Eamo's Library. Now if you are referring to this one GTRom_Super_8[1].02e_081129.zip then yes that is there because that is for the Starview 3 The Box Super and it is still the latest UK fix, so I hope that clears up any confusion for you.

Its for the starview 1 clone & genuine b0x, which i said above.
You need the 4.55 for the SV2, & the 4.03 GTRom loader.
Click on eamos under my sig & open The B0x folder.
The firmware & loader are in there.

No, I was talking about Starview 3...I thought the thread was just for Starview 3 (as titled) - and Des said "all the firmware was changed yesterday"....so I thought my Starview 3, updated with 8.02e 30/11/2008, was already out of date. I thought perhaps VM had done something to outdate all our patches again. That was my confusion.
Cheers.
