Hi All
I updated my SV genuine last night with the new fix. Manually changed the c*des to see if it autorolled. It didn't.
Has anyone had this happen to them. Is it worth another attempt at uploading the UK fix????
Cheers

Hello everyone....I don't think I can help much but I think I have a similar problem. I updated my sv1 original with the new fix by sunr**e however, when I then check on System Information it still has the old API version listed from the 7 Jun!
You might wanna check the system information it might help someway. I personally aint gonna mess with the keys manually as the firmware has been programmed to autoupdate the key. I'm new to all this so if someone can help us?....much appreciated!

You are both talking about sv1, correct? And have updated with the uk fix from eamo's library?
Sometimes they take a while to kick in. Are you sure you have emu turned on?
Go to a scrambled channel with a strong signal, e.g. one of the s*y movie channels or s*y two or s*y sports two, and then press menu, 1570, emu on, exit, see if that works. if it doesn't try menu 1570 emu off, turn box off at the back for a minute, turn on again menu 1570 default, ok, emu on, exit to channel and let it update.

The fix is and does work in Ireland, accepted it is a little erratic to say the least at the minute, but you do need to find the correct channel to leave your box on, sly2 Disney, Sly Ports 1/2 etc. It will kick in, it needs to be meddled with to kickstsrt it, once it is up and running, then the next roll should prove something or other.

Thanks, I changed the codes after entering the fix and waited on SLY Sp*rts 2 for a few minutes but it stayed at 0%. Tried the emu thing too but no joy.
I will download it again and see if that kickstarts it
thanks

Howdy, I have a SV 1 and by mistake flashed THE BOX firmware
Now my SV 1 has THE BOX logo on screen and nothing else. I reflashed
the last SV 1 firmware to bring it back...Flash failed and tried the very old and first SV 1 firmware and it also failed to flash. Any advice to get me back to autorol would be great.
Regards, Mylesy

Then you now had a bad flash, and the only way to recover from it is to use the bad flash method, go to the first link at the bottom of my post marked Starview Help etc, and look down to the bad flash guide and keep trying that, it may take in excess of 20 plus attempts, but keep trying.

I have been having problems getting boxes to update, realised that s*y2 had changed frequency so had to do a factory reset and auto scan, all boxes updated within minutes of this on s*y2. Make sure after auto scan that you turn emu on.
Hope this helps.

Malci.... After my bad flash experience...You are the man.
I followed your link and reflashed as instructed using the nearly wait for 30 sec and then switch on SV 1 method while downloading.
It had taken 9 go's to work... but now SV1 working again. Thanks to you and the others on Afterdawn for your brill advice.
Happy Xmas to ya.

Good work, and well done, for having a little patience, 9 goes is not to bad at all is it, but it does work with patience and perseverence, glad your sorted and the same good wishes to you too. Cheers ;) Oh and by the way, watch what firmware you put on what box in future, only joking lol, but I think you will.
