assuming I have the dual layer dvd burner and Twilight princess.

Also, are ALL Wii games Dual layer?

You will also need an SD card.

The only Dual layer game I know of is Super Smash Bros. Brawl and it works fine as long as you set the layer break manually at 2084960 , burn on Verbatim DL DVD+R at 2.4x with imgburn.

Ok, I also have an sd card and bought twilight princess yesterday.

The problem i ran into was when I tried a few days ago to make a backup of a game, my dvd burner wouldnt even recognize the disc.
Do I need special software for my computer to even recognize it?

Yes there are certain LG drives used to backup wii games and that is it.
