I would not say it's a complete let down but that's just my opinion. Giant Bomb's Jeff Gertsmann called COD: World at War a mod for COD: Modern Warefare. In a sense he is right as besides the game taking place in WWII it plays exactly like COD4.
There are a few things on World at War that I would love to see on the next COD game such as bigger maps, more class types to create when you prestige. Zombie mode was a nice touch.

I liked it alot at first but it got really old really fast online because it felt like the same old same old, except now theres tanks, and dogs instead of a helicopter.

I wouldn't say "let down".

It plays just as good as CoD4. And that is it's downfall. When CoD4 came out, most were in awe. But now, not only are we use to it, but we usually find ourselves using CoD4 as the main factor when judging how good other shooters are.

So now that we have CoD WW, it seems like we're just playing a re-amped version of CoD4. Which is, basically, what we're doing.

For me, I'm quite happy with it. It was well worth the $65. I just hope Trey doesn't drag their asses releasing new maps, like IW is.
