My Wii is on 3.2E and I would like to keep it that way. I have the homebrew channel beta 8 with Gecko O.S. v.1.5. I have not updated homebrew to 1.01 only because I really don't use it that much, but I wanted it on the system just in case. I have a D2Pro chip in the system and I am able to play backups.

My questions are these:

1. Does anyone have a recent list of games with system updates in them and which updates they are? (i.e. 3.2, 3.3, 3.4)

2. I have a few younger kids who don't know how to boot a game up through the Gecko O.S. so they bypass the update sector on the disks. Can the system be set up to always boot up through Gecko by default?

3. I have a GDR8161B dvd rom that is able to read and rip games. Do I need to backup all my games and run them through brickblocker to remove the updates prior to letting the kids play them to be safe? (I would rather not do this if possible)

4. Should I update the homebrew channel and Gecko O.S.? It seems to be working fine for everything that I have used it for. Are there any advantages to upgrading?

I really do not use the Wii Shop Channel or anything else that requires that I am connected to the internet, so I have automatic updates (WiiConnect 24) turned off.

well if you update ur d2pro from their website in the resources section.
You update it by burning the utility iso to a disc and loading it in the wii.

With this update you can set it to where the wii bypasses the updates on the disc automatically so you dont need to use brickblocker all the time or run it through geckoos
