Can you use an external hard drive to save games ?

I was wanting to save games to hard drive so that it don't use the dvd drive. I know you still have to have the disc but was wondering if I could save them to an external anyway and play them from hard drive?

Not yet, but there is a western digital drive that can be modded to put in the 360. It has to be a specific drive, its a 120gb scorpio and is around $50 as opposed to M$'s $200 120gb.
