My friend's xbox 360 just won't turn on. It is not the cables, because I check it using mine and still no power. The sticker has been removed, so he can't send it to the big M. And to top it off, he felt Halo 3 in the drive he found out that it died.
I have not been able to find a way to fix his problem.
If anyone can help, I would be grateful.
he can remove the disc my taking the faceplate off and inserting a stick/something in the eject hole. make sure u dont stab the InfraRed sensor tho lol i almost did that once, it looks like the little dark things in front of tv remote.
as for the not turning on problem i am not sure , if u tested with ur cables and they are good then i dunno what to do but someone else might, i just have never had that problem
does the light on the power supply go from orange to green then back to orange? (green for a very brief moment?) if so you have a short on the 12 volt header. have you added lights or fans? if so remove them and try again. if not successful you have to search for a shorted mosfet, cap, or very rarely and overtighted xclamp replacement that didn't use nylon washers.
I forgot to mention that the power supply shows just orange, even if I plug it to the 360 and try to on. I don't know if that helps anyone in helping me solving this problem.

maybe its the power button if you have another xbox 360 aready opened try changing the whole power button unit i think is has 3 screws
