Modded with wiikey2 but disk drive not working?

The topic title should explain my situation but anyway yeah. My Wii disk drive isn't lighting up nor is it accepting disks. It's not working period. Could this be because of the mod chip or bad modding or something else?

If you used the wii clip and didnt solder it on,
Maybe pop it off and see if it reads an original game.
If it works than its the mod chip

Nope, no clip on. Only normal soldering method.

if you got an older wii like the DMS, you need to cut the D, E ,F, G points on the clip. Put a piece of electrical tape between those points.
