Delete the 4.57 from your desktop (the file might be corrupt) then download it again from eamos & try flash the b0x again.

hi there I downloaded the latest firmware for the The Box from Eamos. All well but the only problem is that I cannot rearrange the channels according to my preference i.e sorting in channel edit.
Can this be solved at all?

If you go to the forum below there is a guide on how to sort the channels.

You could also try and create a channel dump, use the SVCE program to sort the channels on your computer then dump them back to The Box when you have them sorted they way you want.
Look in Eamos library under Starview 1/Software for the SVCE program and in Starview 1/Documnetation for a pdf guide.

The SVCE (Starview Channel Editor) is a program that you can use to open and edit your saved channel.bin files. If you create a channel dump (upload your channels from the box to computer) you can open the file with the SVCE program then sort them into favs, rename and move them before downloading them back to the box.
As for edditing the channels on the box itself I've had no issue after flashing, if it's looking for a password try 0000.

Thanks. Where can i get the SVCE program for? I have flashed the box a number of times but cannot edit the channels manually. Do you think I have done something wrong whilst flashing?

When you go into Eamos library look in the Starviw 1 folder. You will find the SVCE program in the subfolder Software and an instruction guid on how to use it in the subfolder Documentation.
As regards the box flashing I'm no expert but if you are getting the channels then I would guess that all is ok. I know you have to use the 4.03 loader for updating the firmware.
