Here are some off things i have came across while flashing and wanted to know if anyone has had similar things happen or can tell me what i was doing wrong. Note that all the flashes i have done have been successfull.

I have tried to use iprep v007 and while it presents a far better looking menu with instructions i have never been able to successfully flash with it. One case in particular was on a samsung with MS28 and it kept reporting that it could not read the firmware cause the files alreay existed when they did not. I verified this by checking the directory in windows and there was nothing in the backups folder but it still said there was. I tried the same drive with iprep 006 and it worked perfectly.

Reading Samsung with MS25 using iprep 006. when it says u should select the port number and Then turn off the drive and hit enter wait 10-15 seconds and turn it on and reading will begin. everytime when i select the port number it automatically starts reading and does not give me a chance to press the enter button or turn the 360 off. my friend turned the unit off while it was reading cause we were following directions on screen, the unit was off but it still got the drive key? but it still read the drive just fine and we proceeded to flash. so the next time with a diff unit but still ms25 sammy i turned the 360 off first then choose the port and it said whatever ports and such and it waited for me to turn the 360 on before it started reading and it was successfull. so it appears u have to turn the unit off before choosing port or just do not turn off at all and it will read?

Writing Samsung MS25 with iprep 006. Same as above it says to enter the drive number then turn 360 off and wait then turn on and writing will start. everytime i choose port number it will start writing not giving me a chance to hit the enter button or turn the unit off and wait. now this happened once and it worked fine and wrote the fw and it works. but when it started to write we did not turn it off cause i knew that would be bad to turn off while writing was in progress.
the next time was also a sammy ms25 and i read the fw fine and when i started the write i turned the 360 off Before i choose port number, and when i did choose port it started writing just as before and of course it didnt work. so i rebooted and tried again and it didnt work. so i said screw it i wont even turn it off and i chose port number and bam it starts writing and it works and plays perfectly.

one of these was last week using iExtreme 1.4 cause the guy couldnt wait for 1.5...tried to tell him, but oh well.
2 of these were today using iXtreme 1.5

all sammy drives.

just curious is it possible to use the new jungleflasher to flash sammy drives from windows?

okgoodso im not the only one. i find it odd how some units with roughly the same manufactures date and same drivetype/fw can act differently when flashing. very wierd
