Hey, everyone just wanted to know if i can use a contact pen cleaner instead of a fibre glass pen. i have misplaced my fibre glass pen so i was wondering if this would work just as well as a fibre glass pen? i want to use it to install a 2.3b lite+ chip that i just gopt in the mail.

Can't be sure on that one since maybe it's too strong for a mobo but of all the xboxes I've done I never used any kind of pen and they all work great... maybe you should give a try installing it without the pen. What you can do to clean the contact is to use Isopropylic Alcohol (Rubbing Alcohol).

well i tried it withought the pen and only the two blue led's come on but the green one only stays on for like 2 seconds. how would i clean the DO point with the rubbing alcohol?

i've been going at this for too long i can't get the damn mod chip to work. the green led does not come on and if it does only for a second or so. on the other hand the other two blue led's do come on so i know that its getting power from the lpc bus. i'm getting pissed lol and need some advice. whaT Can i use instead of a fibre glass pen? or maybe you can help me out point me out to a place that sells fibre glass pens and ship to the US.
