Hey is there somewhere where I can read about the available xbox 360 hacks (softmods, modchips, flashing FW for DVD drive [I have no idea what this does], etc) and see what their risks are if I go on XBL?

Hacks and Mod's contain one problem...

and one only.

Console banning. no longer being able to connect to xbox live.

Drive chip disable banning meaning that if you install a drive chip with hacked firmware soon they might be able to disable them with a update.
