I have a Sony NEC Optiarc AD-7221A I just installed into my Dell Dimension 3100 with Windows XP SP2. I have the newest version of ImgBurn (2.4) When ever I put in the Verbatim DVD+r DL 8x Lightscribe disc, it says the disc is full. I've tried messing with the book type but I can't figure out why it won't read it. Any suggestions?

i was about to suggest clone cd as well but someone already did that. Anyways, did you try reinstalling imgburn?

I haven't tried that program yet. I'll give it shot. It's just frustrating since I can burn normal data to these disc via Nero so my burner is compatible with them. I re-post when I know if it worked or not.

I tried CD Clone and it said "failed to get disc information! Is the disc empty?" I'm stumped. Has anyone had problems with Verbatim DVD+r DL 8x lightscribe discs? I'm gonna buy some 2.4x Verbatim discs and see if they work. I'll keep you guys posted.

Ok I ran out and bought some Sony dual layers that have a burn speed of 2.4x and they worked. So it seems it was just the disc. Thanks for the all the help though.
