Hi folks. I recently received a D2pro9 v3 chip with a wii clip and installed it, but I'm running into some issues. My wii chipset is a d2a. Before I say more,I must admit I'm new to this whole thing. Anyway, the drive only reads original games (not backups) upon start up. If I try to put in any type of game while the wii is on then the disk won't even spin. Also, the chip flashes a quick blue light upon startup then stays red while I play an original game. I don't know much else beyond that. If anyone could help out a clueless noobie in any way I would be overjoyed. Thanks for your time.

Edit: I think I found my answer.

Ok so I think I found my solution. If anyone could confirm this that would be great. The d2pro9 v3 came pre-soldered into the wii key. The place I bought it from said, in the invoice, that it's meant for a d2c, a d2c2, and a dce. Since I have a d2a chip set I'm assuming that could be the reason behind my problem?
