Let me start with saying, Yes i realize that if your brand new psp slim comes with 4.05 OFW out of the box, it's probably the new "unhackable" (as of now) motherboard (ta-088v3). And i know i'm kinda wasting my own breath (so to speak) by typing this out. But i have done my research, as far as i know, and SOME people have had success with 4.05 out of the box.

I do not currently have a CFW-ready PSP (slim or phat) to try DAX's ta-088v3 identifier. But i HAVE done tons of other things, all leading to the same outcome. Green Light/Black Screen.

Is it time for me to just give up? or is there any steps i can take to see if i can make this work.

What i've done.

-Tried 4 different MMS creators (DC, TOTALnewbi, Hellcat, and PSPgrader, i believe)
all of which have led to my my gl/bs.
-I followed about every guide i've seen, probably the closest to success was the MMSX guide, even then no luck.
-I'm using a Datel Tool Battery.
-I'm creating the MMS through USB through my PSP, could this cause a problem with creating it?

Other questions:

I can't boot into ANY type of service mode, then again; i don't even know what to look for. Because, if i take the normal formatted MS out (without it being a MMS) It still brings me to a black screen: NO MENU. Is there a visual service mode, or something i'm unaware of?

I'm about ready to give up, anyone with ANYTHING to offer would be much appreciated. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

:)

No one as gotten a 4.05 ofw out of the box slim PSP using a pandora battery. If someone did that it would be front news on any PSP modding forums. So basically you are wasting your time if that's what you are trying to do.

I'll make this easy. I've yet to see a piano black that wasn't a TA088v3.

And if you'll be patient on the custom firmware for it, it'll come soon. There's a rumor that someone already has done so but nothing has been released officially as to WHAT was done.

Here's a link to the article.

You know I give you the mad, phat, superfly, stupid-dope, dumb-ass, retarded, bomb-sh*t props!
What else do you want from me!?!
