Your motherboard supports 240-pin DDR2 1066/800/667 memory, your going to love that motherboard!! It overclocks like crazy, i have the Gigabyte EP45-UD3P version running a Q9550 stable at 3.83ghz, Although i can probably hit 4ghz i'm happy with the 35 percent overclock i have right now, like i said it's stable and that's all i can ask for... If you plan on overclocking get yourself a good aftermarket cooler besides that crappy stock cooler, although you can probably hit 3.4ghz on that stock cooler i wouldn't recommend it because your temps are going jump up through the roof.. I'm using the OCZ Vendetta 2 cooler which performs excellent with my setup, my temps reached 62c at full load running Prime95 and Realtemp for 5 hours...

Now if your planning on overclocking on air, here's a good list of some aftermarket coolers that should fit your motherboard, now as for how much room you have in your case your going to have to measure because these are some monster coolers... If you decide on the TuniQ,OCZ Vendetta, or ZIGMATEK S-1283, make sure that you have around 6 1/2 to 7 inches from the motherboard to the side panel of your case or else your going to have some problems!!!

I'm using the OCZ Vendetta 2. Good luck with your build and remember there are other great coolers out there as well, these are just some really good ones...

The Tuniq is great, but it will not fit the UD3R without a modification. I knew I should have taken pictures of how I made mine fit :P I have a UD3P with the Tuniq.

What you have to do is, there is an "H" bracket that needs to be modified. Since this is a universal Heatsink, it has compatibility with AMD as well. Your Motherboard is Intel, so no need to have that compatibility. You have to saw off the screw hole "nubs" (don't know what the real word is) of the "H" plate. It takes about 5 minutes to do, but the Tuniq is excellent as my Q6600 stays under 50 degrees at 100% load overclocked to 3.2GHz! Not bad considering that the idle temps with stock cooling is higher than that :P

If you decide to get the Tuniq you can take a picture of the "H" plate and I can edit it to show you what it should look like and you would understand what needs to be sawed off.

For RAM, the G.Skill is excellent, and these Dominators are so cheap now:

JaguarGod your right, i forgot to mention that the mosfet heatsinks get in the way of the Tuniq H-bracket.. I found a video for a mod on the Tuniq H-bracket on Youtube.. Of course that's if he decides on going with the Tuniq Towwer, so here is the video!
