Best way to flash a Liteon

hey just looking for some experienced advice on flashing a lite on. I know there are a few ways just wondering if any one had a recommendation thanks

i haven't done one yet but i will be later iv'e read all the tuts and the one that looks the easiest is the maximus tool with v26 extractor to grab the key and then wipe and flash with jungle flasher but that is my opinion as the other are done in dos which im not all that familiar with ill post back as soon as ive done and let ya know

since jungle flasher is windows based i would imagine that would be the one to go with, but i havnt done it myself yet. only pronb is i know its buggy.

i used the 360 xtractor with spear, and jungle flasher. It was extremely easy.

I didn't have any issues come up when upgrading. I did the liteon with a via card also, which is supposed to have some issues. But extremely easy. Just follow the guides.

On the several I have done so far, I have done the following (As the jungleflasher is VERY buggy)

1) Dump Key and inquiry with DVDKey32
2) Build a firmware with FirmwareTool 32
3) Flash with Dosflash 16 (V1.7) - In DOS

The windows flasher is very buggy and can cause you a headache if it does crash with a via card. The above way works just perfectly :)

ya based on your post i went this route and it worked pretty well. i mean, it's a tough thing to do the first time when you have no experience with it...

my first attempt i hooked it up to the SATA on an old intel board and it didn't work... gave me an error with the MTK vendor something or other and the query would never go through no matter how many times i power cycled.

so instead i hooked it up to a DFI nvidia board and everything went a lot smoother. helps to have spare hardware laying around....

just finished a few minutes ago and it loaded up a backup copy of GTA IV just fine so i'm very pleased !!
