I've just been transfering the vob files to my ps3 (or streaming) from my rips doing after using dvdshrink to combine all the vob files to one big one. It would be nice to transfer a smaller file with similar quality.

What do you do? Do you reencode? I been messing around with SUPER the free multi-encoder here on afterdawn and have found that the extra time to encode isn't worth the trouble. I know a lot of people do it. If you reencode what library are you using (x264), what container (MP4) and what bit rates.

Basically, I am either getting poorer quality or larger files (If I maintain 6ch aka5.1) than I started with plus the time encoding it.
