Sorry im new here but i have a problem. I have a PAL modded wii (not sure what kind of modchip) and i tried to play a NTSC SSBB and it asked me to update and i foolishly did that. Now my version is stuck on 3.4U, all of my PAL backups AND my NTSC brawl won't even work anymore. I tried using the PAL semi brick fix disc but they don't work with my version. I also tried a NTSC Twilight princess so that i could get the Homebrew channel and get a downgrader but unfortunately that game also didnt work. Formatting system memory also didnt work.

Anybody have a solution, please. This has made me pull my hair out.

How did you update the wii to 3.4 with smash bros when the game only contains 3.1? That's simply not possible.

Sorry i forgot to add i did udate with a NTSC brawl and then i mucked around with the homebrew channel and any region changer where it changed to 3.4u. All of that got deleted though.

Is there still any solution?

Ok ill reedit my statement:

Sorry im new here but i have a problem. I have a PAL modded wii (not sure what kind of modchip) and i tried to play a NTSC SSBB and it asked me to update and i foolishly did that. I then fooled around with the homebrew channel and any region changer, and then out of panic deleted homebrew channel and eevrything. Now my version is stuck on 3.4U, all of my PAL backups AND my NTSC brawl won't even work anymore. Nothing will boot.

*sigh* Why why WHY do you people keep messing around with the region changer? Its not a good idea.

And formatting the system memory never solves any problems because it doesn't effect the firmware at all, as has been covered many many times before. All it does is remove the homebrew channel and make everything that much harder to fix.

Anyway, if you were on 3.1 or later before running the update from smash bros then the update didnt even mess anything up by letting it update, you just got duplicate channels. If you were on an earlier firmware then that did in fact semi-brick it.

If you had run the PAL semi-brick fix disk at this point everything would have been fine. But instead you changed the region to NTSC, and firmware 3.4 of all things. So you don't even have a PAL console anymore, you have an NTSC one. And its no longer semi-bricked even if it ever was. The region changer took care of that.

If you still had the homebrew channel installed you could just run the region changer back to PAL and everything would be fine. Or you could try booting one of the twilight princess game disks through gecko OS.

The only thing I can suggest at this point is trying an original zelda PAL disk. I dont know if it will work but you've pretty systematically blocked all the usual things I could suggest.
