Hello,

I have an xbox 360 which was purchased aound christmas 2006. The DVD player is very loud when playing a game (but not when watching DVDs). This has been bothering me for some time. I've heard that a quieter drive exists.

a) I read somewhere that the quietest drive is a BenQ model VAD6038. Is this correct?

b) Can I simply purchase the BenQ DVD drive and swap it with the one currently in the xbox360? If not, what needs to be done?

I did a quick google search before posting. This yielded alot of dubious and contradictory information (which I am still in the process of filtering through). If anyone has a link to some reliable info would be apreciated.
