Depends on where you live. The States, U.K., Canada or somewhere else?

What type of DVD Burnder do you have?> That would help some people guide you. If you are in the USA, try Meritline.com $55.00 for 100 digital matrix 4x. But try Rima , Supermediastore also shop for that price/media that you like. Rember cheap isnt always good , to many coasters and you can raise the cost wuick.

Going as 'cheap' as possible has worked just fine for me, so far. As Preyzuess stated, Matrix DVD-R's work just fine with my dual format NEC 8X burner. Both Meritline.com and Shop4tech.com have compatibility charts which let the buyer know whether this or that media works with the buyer's burner. I bought a 50 spindle of Matrix for $34.95 with free shipping.

Amazon.com has Memorex 4X DVD+/-R (printable)for 99.98 in spindles of 100. They also offer free shipping. These are quality DVD's. I also saw ULTRA 4X - DVD+R for a little more then a $1.00 a piece in blocks of 25. I have used both and they work fine.
