I have the homebrew channel installed thanks to the stickied tutorial but i can't find the right WAD's and advance setting for DVDX installer.

I have a backup of call of duty 5 on DVD+R and when i try to load it from wiigators backup loader there is an error with scrambled words.

When i try to install the CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042 i can't find it in my WAD manager. The only WAD's i have listed are cIOS.wad and Wiigator_Backup_Launcher_V3_Beta.dol.wad, could this be the root of my problem?

Also i can't find the ISO249 setting when i install DVDX, i can only find IOS249.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You do not need DVDx installed for the newest version so uninstall it. Plus your using WiiGator Beta but WiiGator Gamma is the newest release and has better compatibility. If you have installed the WiiGator Beta wad you have listed above uninstall it.

Now go HERE and download this file.

Format your SD Card so all previous files are off it.

Extract the downloaded file (it will extract to a Boot Loader Gamma folder).

Drag the 00000001 folder and apps folder inside the Boot Loader Gamma folder to the root of the SD Card (drag the 2 folders to SD Card root not the Boot Loader Gamma folder itself).

Now place the SD Card in your Wii and launch the Homebrew Channel.

Select cIOS installer in the list and launch it. Follow the on-screen instructions to install it and it should reboot after it has installed.

Now all you have to do is place a game backup in the Wii start the Homebrew Channel and launch the WiiGator gamma boot loader.

After it is installed you can delete the 00000001 folder and the cIOS_installer249 folder located in the apps folder.

Also keep in mind that all the boot loaders like WiiGator can have issue with DVD+R media. So if you get a disc read error when launching the backup then buy some DVD-R media and try it again.

Thanks alot larrylje!

I have the backup launcher installed properly now and it boots the game burned on DVD-R (thanks for the heads up), only problem is i get this error message when the game loads:

"An error has occurred.
Press the EJECT Button, remove the Game Disc, and turn the power off.
Please read the Wii Operations Manual for more information"

The backup loader says "No SD codes found", i'm not sure what this means or if this could be causing the problem.

Thanks for the help once again.
