I currently have a fat (or old) style PSP with the TA-082 motherboard. I am looking to upgrade my firmware from 3.52 M33-4 to 5.00 M33-4. I've got a couple of ISO games (Metal Gear Ops, Need for Speed MW, and Secret Agent Clank), but none of them seem to run on the 3.52 firmware.
Anyways, I have tried upgrading to 5.00 but I keep getting the message about the ID storage keys being incorrect. I've got a basic idea about the storage key issue, but I don't know where to go from here.
I downgraded to 1.50 a while back when the first release came out for the TA-082 motherboard to do so; so I am sure my ID keys got changed. I upgraded to 2.71 and so on until now to 3.52 M33-4.
My questions... (and if you have any for me, I will try my best to give you a detailed answer)
1. Is it even possible for me to upgrade any further? If so, are there simple instructions? (I've had a hard time finding concrete answers through my searches)
2. Would it be better to somehow move back to official firmware now that Sony is supporting ISO's through a memory card? If so, how would I be able to do that?
3.Lastly, is there just something wrong with my settings that would make these games run?
Very cool .. Don't mean to thread-jack but thanks. Was going to ask same question , I mod'd mine and a friends psp while back and just stopped using it altogether cause couldn't update ( was around ver. 2.82 i believe )
Hope this can fix my problems also . Thanks again to you both
