Hi, have done a little searching but not finding much.
I have a friend in the usa and i got her a points card, i hear you can't use uk points for us 360 though. this leads me to come up with a few thoughts of how to work around this. so my 3 questions are these.
1) Will uk points work for us 360?
2)Can i use gamertag recovery and sign in to her account here and put the points on her account, letting her sign in to hers afterwards. would she then have the points?
3) Could i do number two, but just buy the item with the points and then it register that her account baught it, allowing her to sign in to her account and re-download it for free?
Any help would be much thanked. (Sorry for the spelling) new keyboard and i'm not used to it)

you could probably just purchase the card on-line and have it sent to her house. newegg.com or tigerdirect.com usually has great deals on them. then she can just put the code in herself and download whatever she wants.

1. Rumored No
2. No, she'd have to recover her account back to her 360, loosing her game saves, prolly not a good thing.
3. Without doing a license transfer, your allowed 1 a year, you'd still have to basically do #2 option but carry it further buying the games, which tie it to your xbox not hers, so it's adding alot of BS.
why not just tell her the code and have her enter it to see if it works, if not you can use the points. otherwise what wabashman said works as well.

are you sure on that one, last year at college, a friend would recover his tag on my xbox every time he came over to play, and he never lost his game saves on his console.

haven't tried it as i've got too many saves, but that's been the buzz from what i've heard, if u know otherwise feel free to share, but i've heard repeatedly that if you recover like on your own console, you'd loose your saves, but i don't know i guess, so it's speculation based on other stories, but i'm open to being proved wrong.
