1. I have a xbox 360 premium and have been lurking for awhile now on the newbie forums.
2. I want to alter my 360 so that I can play my backup 360 games and/or burn them to my HDD via NXE and play them.
3. I use Live quite a bit and want to avoid being banned at all costs.
- So far I have learned that firmware updates is the way to go in terms of not being banned, not modchips.
- I have also read that as long as I keep backups OFFline and only go ONline with my original discs, I will be fine. Is that correct?
4. Since I have very little expierence with terms like flashing, liteon, xtreme, etc. I need help in one of two ways.
5. Who is a trustworthy source I can send my box to in order to get the necessary changes done for me? Obviously, I'd be willing to compensate. Who might I PM/email? Or WHERE might I get this done? (I live in suburban Chicago)
OR
6. Where is a step-by-step guide on how to do this?
Again, I am looking to accomplish the goals outlined in steps 2 and 3 and am wondering if step 3, subpoint 2 is correct.
That 360 mod place looks like exactly what I was looking for, thanks for the link. The 360 pricing/doc info is here.
http://www.prestige-mods.com/index_files/360flash.htm Anyone play backups on Live at all, and if I keep backups offline exclusively, do i run the risk of still being banned when I log on with originals?
Using a Flashed Xbox with iXtreme Stealth mode doesn't avoid banning from Microsoft, Using backups offline doesnt avoid banning, when you mod your xbox you take a chance at being banned from Xbox Live. when Using a BAD copy of a 360 game offline the xbox knows and it get written on the XBOX internally, and when interent is connected the info will sent to Microsoft. Later on microsoft will find another way to ban people, check online to see whats going on every now and then. If u avoid the ban then later on another iXtreme update will come out and it should be flashed with a newer version again to avoid banning. But we have no clue what is going on in the future and we do not know how microsoft does it banning, so when u flash u take a risk.
there is no such thing as a safe backup. there are unsafe backup and backups that could be safe. you need mulleter or abgx360 to tell if the back up appears to be safe.
Use abgx360, mulleter is outdated, each time you burn a game it needs the security sector, and abgx360 finds it in the database and inject it in the image b4 u burn it, but sometimes the database could be wrong too.
microsoft could find some way to fake a security sector, and we think its right but microsoft knows its wrong, and log it in their system and do a massive ban, so people wont exactly know what is going on. Like I said when u flash u take a risk. If u want to go online u might want to prepare to buy another xbox, or another system.
