Hi, i have an 1TB external hard drive, i have put some MP41080p movies on it, but when i connect it to the xbox 360 and play them, they play fine for about 20 seconds, and then they just stop for a few seconds and start again.
Is your HD formatted to fat32 or ntfs as xbox only uses fat32 as storage if you are using ntfs change the format to fat32 using CMD or partition manager and try again.

i disagree, my western digital external is formatted for NTSF, and it plays avi, and xvid files fine.
