I have been playing for about two hours and noticed that the game does not save. What is it I need to do to same my progress?

I downloaded a saved game at level 20 and now when I use the saved game to play, I cant save any progress. No auto save, no manual save nothing. Can anybody help me out?

I havent finished the game yet. I just downloaded a saved game off gamefaqs to play at level 20. There were no quests completed and I transferred all my other saves onto a memory card from my ps3 because I thought that maybe I had too many saves. But it wont auto save, and the save option when I pause the game is not highlighted. Any suggestions?

Its likely because the save file is registered to a different account.

its because of the patch update, if you delete the game data then start fallout 3 without doing an update you can save the game.
