Hi hope someone can help

I want to hock up my wii to the internet wirelessly. I do not have a wireless router. I have tried the small nintendo usb adapotor but had to check it cause i couldnt get it to work at all.

My big question is, after trolling the net I have come across a product called a 'wireless adaptor' or 'gaming adaptor'. Would I be able to use these to get online with my wii? (without having to buy a wireless router for my broadband)?

Thanks for your time guys x

make it easy on yourself, and get a router. sure it'll cost more, but it won't be a hassle in the longrun.

besides, how do you expect to get a wireless connection, without a wifi connection?

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Both those terms are rather general and can be used to describe different things. So its possible that you've heard about something I've never seen. But this is what I've heard of.

A wireless adapter is generally something that you use to connect a PC to a wifi router.

A gaming adapter is either a similar device for a game console, or an addon for a wireless router that increases the maximum bandwidth of the router.

What problems were you having with the USB adapter? It can take a little bit of tinkering to get it working sometimes.

Is there a reason why you can't get a router? Because that is what you need

This thread makes no sense. You can't use wireless adaptors or anything of the nature without a wireless router. They are $50 and as even low as $20. Don't be a cheap skate.

I know nintendo makes that adapter which turns your PC into an access point for your DS (but the pc has to be connected to the internet somehow as well).

So if you mean that thing: FUCK NO.

Buy a $30 Dynex router from best buy.
It IS cheaper than the Nintendo proprietary dongle AND you can use it for more than just your console.
