I have successfully created a MMS and purchased a pandora battery and had used it a couple of times to upgrade my friend's psp and mind as well. All psp were fully functional to start out with. I then purchased a psp, but turned out to be bricked,...not sure if it is full or semi-bricked. Here are the symptoms:
-when a normal battery is used, power light turns green when switched on and all I get is a black screen and no sound and will not read disc. I had to push the power bottom upward for several seconds (longer than normal) before it will power down.
-next,I inserted my MMS and put in my pandora battery, green power light turns green, card reader light turns orange and the wifi light turns green immediately. However, I do not get the recovery screen at all.
I have searched around for this problem and have yet found a solution to this dilemma. There are plenty of solutions where you can get the recovery menun immediately after you install the pandora battery and the MMS into the bricked psp. So far, I have come across another psp that have the same problem descibed above.
Expertise and advice will be helpful. Thx in advance!
Have you had any joy yet? Sounds like same issue as mine! My psp wont work even after using a working Pandora etc. I suspect hardware failure, poss motherboard, but I'm waiting to here from others to see what appears to be the commom thing!
If the MMS was made with desperter del cementario you probably need to hold the left trigger down once you put the pandora battery in. Would help to know how you made the MMS and what psp you have.
Yes! I did try holding the left button, and the up button as programed on dc8. This is what I followed, and have found it to work on other psp's (Hope I'm allowed to place this link here, mods?!?) http://forums.exophase.com/showthread.php?t=3780 I have also tested the battery and stick on the psp to see if the boot menu loads up, and all was fine! The faulty psp is a 1006 phat with a ta-81 motherboard!
Yes, made and un made many times! Different batteries and memory cards too!! I've just stripped it again to check the 3 fuses on the motherboard, waste of time that was! They'll all ok! Any more ideas anyone?!?!
Yes, was Hellcats, and confirmed all working! First checked Pandoras serial in Hellcat menu (Showed as 0x0000whatever the rest was, I forgot!!) Then after failed attempts I placed into my own psp I used to make 'em, held up button (as entered in dc8) And the menu comes up for what firmware you wish to install etc!
Just updating! Bought a faulty psp from 2nd hand shop for £15, tried it in store, only wouldnt boot umd's and a bit tatty! Got it home and stripped, by chance it had a ta-81 motherboard in it! So swapped it over to me boys, and it's all up and running, had to use pandora and magic memory stick as it was on ofw, now it's up to date and runs umd's too! Bargain! Cheers all!
