Question about Xecuter Connectivity Kit v3 Lite

Hello

Ive ordered a Xecuter Connectivity Kit v3 (Lite) to flash my lite-on.Now im trying to figure out where this cable should be going (ive drawn it red to show what i mean in the pic) http://img383.imageshack.us/my.php?image=31767896au3.jpg
Do i need a COM port on my pc?Im a bit confused where i should plug it in :D TIA.

I see now that COM ports mean sata ports.Im still left with the question where do i put this cable in?Shown on picture in message above.

i believe that should be going to the serial port on ur pc since this is the lite version,
the ckv3 pro uses an usb cable instead

i said serial not sata.
serial port is similar to the port you connect your monitor with. check the back of your pc or something and see if u can find port that says serial or looks like image four in this site:

I dont have a serial port on my pc :( Is it worth trying with a pci-serial port card?

might work but not sure that the one u linked to will work since its parallel port and its for the printer

yeah that might work, just make sure you have all the correct drivers installed. With some luck the flashing will go smoothly.

would have been easier just to get the pro
