Hi All,
Does anyone if these cable boxes (Starview 2) have gone down today (4th Jan 2009) as my box doesnt seem to work?
The percentage bar on the 'data being updated' screen goes upto 400% and then nothing happens - please can someone help?

I flashed it in December '08 and it was working fine until today. I'm not that technically minded but the system information that is showing is Api ver: 8.02e_E Boot ver:7.0 and the GT rom loader I used was 4.00 is this correct?

I don't think there was a roll in the last few weeks in either Ireland or the uk,you used the wrong loader the last time you flashed try again with the latest fix which you can find HERE

I have tried the rom loader 4.57 version and nothing happens. The channels show up but are in a funny writting and it say 'bad channel or scrambled'. Please help?

I have also flashed the box about 5/6 times and when I go to a premium channel after I have scanned the channels in, the percentage bar keeps going above 100% and then the channel doesn't click - am I doing something wrong?

Probably, if you have flashed your box with the 4.57 and Installed correctly and you have found the channels, as you said you have, then there can only be one thing wrong. Have you turned on the key Emu, Menu, enter 1570 via keypad, the Cas System menu will appear, go down to Key Emu and turn ON with the > arrow key, and exit out to an encrypted channel and let it update.

Thank you, I have done that and it worked for abit now all the premium channels are coming up 'scrambled or bad channel' what do I need to do to get these working please?

go into the menu press 1570 turn of emu key then press ok on the default key then turn the emu back on then exit back to sky sports etc and it shud update.

u musnt have flashed it properly??? go in to the menu then into system information and it shud tell you what firmware u have on it
