My friend has an old xbox without an hdmi port...If he called and said it had RROD do you think they would just send him a newer model back. Ive seen the 360's go into 3 red lights then back out a few times b4 they just quit. Just curious...We're just some broke hillbillys trying to get 1080p...lol
i've heard stories of people getting new consoles back with HDMI, and others getting non-HDMI consoles back, but the non-hdmi consoles were several months back when MS could have had a stock pile of them laying around. however, im about to send a couple of RROD consoles into MS that do not have HDMI on them, so i will be curious as to what i get back also.

the newer 360's run on less power if yours is older console it would have a 203 watt P/S 90 NM CPU - 90 NM GPU
the HDMI should be Falcon running on 175watt P/S 90 NM CPU - 65NM GPU
and the newest is the jasper running on 150 watt power supply
65NM CPU - 65 NM GPU
so how would you power this new HDMI console?

not necessarily true. read several stories of MS sending out 175 watt consoles to people that had 203 watt power bricks then basically saying tough crap.

I received my brand new replacement MFR 2008-11-02
It has a 203w (Zephyr V2) 16A
Same as old console sent back to Microsoft Europe
What part of the world did those who received lower power supply replacements come from?

Naw, that's not true. The hdmi's were released with the 90/90.
All Xbox 360 Premium machines and Arcade machines manufactured August 2007 introduced the new 65 nm CPU accompanied with a new cooler and still 90 nm GPU with the Zephyr cooler.
Was the first HDMI 90/90 on Elite, I think Elite were (April May 2007)
So I stand corrected But my point being no matter what package - console he has ? core, Arcade or Premium
It?s obvious he has a 203 watt power supply if it an older console
I believe Microsoft would replace a console to match his Power supply
I looked at the link for the opus
If my replacement console MFR is 2008-11-02 chances are it?s this opus board
I will power it up with the original brick which is 203 watt i am assuming this will cause no damage to console if the opus has a
