Eurovox missing channels....

I have a Eurovox pvr...in telepest croydon area...
lost a few channels such as virgin 1. have attempted to manual scan frequency 323... however my quality is in the red... any ideas???
Anyone else got this problem?

strange thing is when I press the info button twice on virgin 1 - it tels me the quality is 80%... yet in user install it is low...???

Just try a factory default then a powerscan.

I assume 6952 is the correct rate... What shoud I set the start and stop to?
noticed new firmware has a deep scan... is it worth using this?

Yes Croydon is 6952, start at 100.00mhz stop 850.00mhz, step set to 8. I wouldn't bother with the deep scan method.

just scaned - and for some reason I only got 11 channels - this has happened before which is why i usually just update channels...
any ideas??

Try your subbed box to see if that's working ok, there is cable problems around your area at the moment.

Contract box which your cable company supplied, to rule out cabling and cable signal issues.
What did you do when this happend before?

Edit: OR put your old CDF back on it, didn't know you had one.
You will probably be back to where you started with the same problem though as they may have moved freq's.

contract box up in loft somewhere...
I usually just update my existing channel guide and all ok usually???
will have alook at this cdf - but daed October so quite old.

just so you know - I am not a muppet and have had a eurovox for years now in one form or another...
I have plenty of cdf files of recent channel guides - just have issues with installing / scanning boxes
which up til now wasnt an issue as update channels always found those mew and missing...
just cant find virgin 1???
anybody else having this issue?

Wonderful - scan finished and now have close to 400 channels...inclusive of virgin 1 and FX now working...
Thank you !!!
I am now going to edit the channels into some form of order...
I currently use the editing function of the firmware program - which is slow as you can only move one channel at a time...
Is there another program with better functionality to edit a cdf file?

You may already be on with it but DnUpMan from the Eurovox software folder in Eamos is easier and faster for channel editing.
Can I ask a favour? once you have sorted the CDF can you upload it here please as the one I have is as you say outdated,

Thats exactly the same bit of software...
WIll take me days to do it this way.,. lol
No peobs i will upload when I finish it...
In mean time have heard of VOXER - but cant fins an active link to download ???
