flashing lite-on with conectivity kit and probe

Hi guys,

I'm planning on flashing my lite-on with iprep as i've used it previously on benq and samsung drives. I've ordered the ck3 lite and a probe.

Apologies in advanced if they are stupid or obvious, but my questions are:

1) will i still have to intstall CK3 Tool 1.2.4 and PortIO32 drivers?

2)I know the sata goes from the lite on to the via 6421, the 360 power lead goes from the lite-on to the ck3 and the rs232 lead goes from the ck3 to the serial port - but what is the other lead coming out of the ck3 (is it some sort of power cable?)?

1) dont think you have to install the ck3 tool drivers since ur not using the usb version. not sure about portIO32 since i never tried with iprep
2)i think you are talking about the power cable(think its a wire with 4 metal things in it). it comes from your pc and usually straight from the power supply. I just like to take off the power cable from my dvd drive and use that.
