I just did the twilight hack on my wii, I'm running 3.4U firmware and use a backup loader to load my back up games. I just got a retail copy of Wii Music (same region as my wii) and it's prompting me for an update. Should I or will this cause problems with my homebrew channel and apps?

Sorry, I'm new to all this and everything I found about this involved a mod chip which I don't have, I have the soft mod... so any help is greatly appreciated!

If you're already at 3.4U, then Wii Music isn't going to do anything >.>

I would never install any updates just to be safe. Downgrade to 3.2u and install starfall to skip updates for everything

I left it on the main menu page for a while and the update request went away?? The game plays fine. It wouldn't have installed an update without me going through the motions to do so would it?
