THE BOX failed update.

Hope someone might be able to help.

Have just attempted my first "flash" of starview the box and although download was complete when i switched the box back on i just get a continuous green lines going left to right across the display on the box. I have tried re flashing and looking around the forums for advice but am at a loss to how I can get at back working.

Any advice appreciated. (Not very technically minded im afraid!)

which version did you use. flash again this way:

turn it off at the back, press download in gt_rom then switch it on.

it may fail a few times but eventually will work with a few tries.

Consoles:

XBOX360 Falcon console with Lite-On 74850C

PS3 80gb phat model with 120gb hdd

PS3 60gb model

PS3 modded on 3.55

v4.03_051005.exe and thebox_h20081204_455eE_api.bin

are the files I used from another part of this forum? Do you know if these are correct??

yeah they work. just a bad flash. try what i said and if it says flash update fail, try again until it moves from 0%

As you know im new to this so how many times might it take to work?? Ive tried a couple but although download complete 100% still just getting greeen line across display when turning the box on and off again??

and try the latest 4.57 and see if it works

make sure app file only is ticked or try gt_rom 4.00

yes. use an old version first then try a new one.

ireland=4.50

uk=4.51

then try 4.57.
