Hi guys, 2 questions

Im in the market for 2 dell 2407wfp's to sit side by side, should this stand work..

I would like however to know, if that ram is any good, and can someone locate me a better video card, something with its own power supply. Also what processor would be best for this build, im looking for sheer power, ill be doing everything including gaming on this baby!!!

I'm new to some of this, so I'm only going to give input on the items I feel comfortable doing so.
I don't have any experience with a dual monitor setup, so I can't comment on the first item.
First off, it would help to know what your approximate budget is for the build. Also, how far on the bleeding edge do you want to be? It looks like you've settled on socket 775. Have you looked at the 1366 models? They utilize the DDR3 memory, and my understanding is that it's faster than DDR2.
I've never used that memory brand before, but the price is, well, OUCH!
I'm not sure I understand your question about the GPU having its own power supply. Unless the graphics are onboard, then the PSU will be supplying the power. The card itself is one that I was considering before settling on the 4870x2.
I don't care much for ASUS's customer support, but they do make some nice products. What made you settle on that board?

I hope this helps. I'm sure others will be along, as they have helped me tremendously on my build.

Well, in my opinion, I don't think that much memory is really necessary at all, I think even 8 Gigs is overkill, Maybe a 2x2GB setup will be much more convenient. I would recommend either getting a Gigabyte motherboard, either The UD3R or the UD3P if you plan on running SLI or Crossfire.

The monitor stand is fine. The motherboard is also fine, if outrageously expensive. The Graphics card is a bad choice, as there are cards that perform as well as it for barely more than half the price, and 16GB of RAM is crazy, you can't use more than 6, let alone 16. 2x2GB is fine for almost all systems.
