Hello everyone i have just bought a Eurovox pvr ex5000 and just seen that the display on the front dont work can anyone help me out to get this working?

Can anyone help me with this please its the front part of the box where it is meant to say the channel number and light up i can watch channels but the front of the box isnt working
Help please?

So you can watch all your channels fine, the only problem your having is that you cant see the display numbers. Where did you get it as it should be still under warranty.

Got it off ebay, are you meant to be able to see the channel number on the lcd at the front of the box pal of is it meant to be blank?

Edit,
Yes you should be able to see channel number on the front, Take the lid off with the power turned off and push the cable from the display all the way down on the board, they do sometimes come loose.

Sorry pal yehhh i can watch all the channels and record no problem the only problem is on the front of the box it doesn't show anything not the channel number or any lights just blank, i bought the item off ebay.
Any help?

It works mate but now the remote dont work very good new batteries are in but the distance on the remote is rubbish we cant even change the channel over sitting on the couch we have to move closer
Any help?

Have you taken the protective film off the front of the box? also clean your LED on the remote and on the sensor screen on your box.

Apart from checking the plug connections again there's very little you can do, borrow / buy another remote, renew batteries with a good quality type (Duracell), or sit closer to your box LOL.
Sorry mate there's very little you can do about it apart from the obvious.
