I have a modded Xbox v1.0 with Xenium Gold SP installed with UnleashX dashboard. I recently downloaded AID4.01 and it will only load up through UnleashX. I want to put in a 500GB WD hard drive. I already have my C:,E:, and EEprom backed up to a computer. I am just not sure on the steps of upgrading this hard drive.

do you want softmodded files on your xbox so you can also boot of the stock bios? if so, here are the links:
here is the link, follow this one to build your 500 gig drive.

in case you need softmodded c and e drive:

you don't want to run of the standard ms bios, so you only run of your chip? this one is easy:
if so, use a slayer 2.7 disc (what i use) or an aid disc (never used it but it should do the same). put either disc into the drive of your xbox and boot of the chip. with slayer you have the option to (re)build an upgraded hdd (i believe it is option 3), it formats and puts all the files onto the new drive. after that is done, you can always put more stuff on it.

No, I don't want softmodded files on my xbox. I just want to replace my stock drive with a 500GB hard drive snd continue to use my modchip and transfer all my original files to the new HDD.

Is upgrading the HDD with a modchip already installed in your xbox as simple as just installing the new HDD and running an auto-installer like AID 4.0?

yes, it is that simple. first put the new unformatted hdd in your xbox. put a slayer (or aid) disc in the xbox's dvd drive, boot off the chip. now your bootdisc will be booted. select rebuild upgraded hdd (or some option like that, don't know the aid disc). choose your startup dash of choice and let it work for a while. then restart your xbox and your done. then put/copy stuff over via ftp. don't worry about locking the hdd, a chip can boot an unlocked hdd. only the standard ms bios requires a locked hdd, but you will not be using that.
it is as simple as that.
keep in mind that with the bootdisc, you will not be able to run of the standard ms bios (it will probably only boot the ms dash)...

I got my hdd and put it in and formatted with aid 4.01, but now i can't get into unleashx anymore. It won't let me delete the files through ftp either or overwrite them. I have a modchip but I can not get passed my Xenium Os screen now. I need help on what to do now.

When I launch from my modchip it goes to the ms dashboard. I have now since been able to load AID 4.01, so I reformatted the hdd but now I can't ftp anymore. It keeps giving me error during file transfers. I was going to manually put unleashx on there but the files will not transfer. Anyone know what the problem may be. If I put my stock hdd back in then I can ftp fine, so I don't know what the problem is.
