how can i identify wich psp version i have? so that i can know if i can run psp back ups. tis no the new one 3000 (i think)

it came with firmware version 4.01

code reads: AB023490949-PSP2001
SAERIAL NUMBER: HU2349094

take out the battery. on the top of the inside of the battery (with all the writing) it says "PSP-####) such as PSP-1001.

It's a psp slim of course, north american version. a version 2001
