just picked up a cheap second hand 360 and want to mod the firmware, how do i identify which one it is, its date code is 2007-11-11, pal with hdmi the power plug has 6 pin connections and a flat solid bar at top of connector, which firmware hack do i need and is it any different to the original hack id did on 1st gen 360
To identify the drive you can take it apart and look which if your going to flash you will do anyway or look at the link below which has a lot of drives listed. Just match the make (Pro, elite, ect.) and production date.
ive got an hitachi with a 79fl drive in it, ive d/l fwtoolbox 4.8 and ixtreme 1.5 which is best to use ??, as i have gathered you put the drive in mode b by opening drawer with power on turn off power then push drive half way in, power up 360 again conected to pc power up win xp and it will recognise 360 drive, do either of the fw tools work on 79fl hitachi as the tutorial says that the hitachi 1.5 is due out soon, does this mean me
